Dear readers, dear lovers of Louisa’s wonderful photography,
I assure you that we have not been slacking hardcore (though we may, at times, look the part). Louisa and I have, in fact, been sending photos and words back and forth every day for the past 51 days and will continue for the next 49. But Christian, you exclaim, you’ve only posted six photographs in the past month and a half, and one of them is of you and is not attached to thirty-five words! There’s a reason.
Nearly two months ago, onethirtyfive was chosen to be part of the fourth season of Community Supported Art, presented by Springboard for the Arts and mnartists.org. Check the link for details. Louisa and I have been shooting and writing for a new 100-page pocket-sized book. We’ve added a few twists to the usual .onethirtyfive. format: All the photos are black and white, the stories are set in Minnesota, and the locations (neighborhood, intersection, etc) are included with the photographs.
Thus far, the project has been a delight. And a challenge. We’d like to share with you a small part of what we’ve been doing. Beginning Monday next week we will post five of our favorite collaborations from the first fifty.
Thanks for sticking with us.
Christian (and Louisa)
